Brief health-specific tool entitled Toronto Aortic Stenosis Quality of Life Questionnaire (TASQ), which was developed to measure changes in Quality of Life (QoL) in Aortic Stenosis (AS) patients. The TASQ helps to appropriately assess and improve health outcomes of patients undergoing Aortic Valve Replacement.
It just takes a few steps to assess patient’s quality of life
• AS-specific QoL measurement tool which allows accurate assessment of how this chronic condition and its treatment affects patients.
• Validated questionnaire to address the physical, emotional and social factors associated with aortic stenosis.
• It includes a number of questions related to the implications of AS and its treatment on the patient’s future (e.g. concerns regarding family or finances).
• The TASQ results will be sent to dedicated email address (including pdf and excel formats, which will help to incorporate data into databases).
• Available TASQ languages (validated): English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
• AS educational material for patients is included to learn more about the disease and its treatment options.
• The TASQ-Q App is designed for elderly people representing the major population suffering from AS (big letters, easy navigation).
Please note, the TASQ-Q e-tool is dedicated for HealthCare Professionals to ease their hospital routine regarding QoL assessment of AS patients (reduction of paper work).
Users should be aware that answering the TASQ will not replace a doctor’s visit!
TASQ-Q application is sponsored by IPPMed and enabled by Edwards Lifesciences.
